When i change a channel on sky my screen size gets smaller!

When I change a channel on sky, the screen size changes to 4:3 instead of covering the whole screen! How can I change it so it stays on widescreen?

some tvs do that because they have auto picture format. try:

-changing the picture format on the tv menu from Auto to 16:9 or widescreen

-on the sky box select services, option 4 system setup, option 1 picture settings, picture format 16:9

-another is to plug the sky box into AV2 on the TV instead of AV1



this happens a lot with cheap make tvs (bush, goodmans, etc) and sometimes the only way of keeping the screen from changing is to connect by RF cable instead of Scart (you connect the RF lead from the RF1 out on the sky box to the Aerial input on the TV and then tune an available channel. ie: ch 6 to receive Sky and use that channel number instead of AV) When i change a channel on sky my screen size gets smaller!

There should be an aspect button on the tv remote,you must have it on auto.
My Tv has been doing this for around 1mth, I believe Sky did an update and it has affected lots of people (from what i'v read online)

My TV is a Sony and is not cheap, I have tried changing the TV settings, and removed ';Auto'; picture size, and have tried fixing the Sky settings, neither have worked.

This is only a problem with some channels (Paramount Comedy etc) so far.

It is so annoying.... I might try changing the scart option or try RF.
